AS IF! (Authors Support Intellectual Freedom) is an American association of authors who are monitoring authors and books that being removed from school curricula in all fifty states. So, for example, we read about the the NAACP in Pasadena’s move to remove To Kill a Mockingbird from the school curriculum.
What kind of forces are operating in the US that would want to proscribe one of the best books one can think of that teaches young kids about racism?
